A strategic and entrepreneurial leader with more than 20 years’ experience in marketing and partnerships. Alex has spent time on assignments abroad with some of the world’s leading brands including IBM (Shanghai), General Motors (Dubai), BP (London), Warner Music (London), MTV (New York) and Inditex (A Coruña, Spain). His experience in the area of marketing, sponsorship valuation, measurement and research has extended to consulting to organisations such as Vodafone, ANZ Bank and NAB.
Alex Is Managing Director to Arianna Huffington’s Thrive Global in Australia and New Zealand.
He was the Director, Corporate Relations and Partnerships at the Melbourne Business School. In this role he was primarily focused on strengthening ties between the school and business leaders. He also launched the very successful Dean’s Leaders Forum internationally and led the Annual Melbourne Women and Management dinner to encourage more women to study by providing scholarships.
Previous roles have included Director, Marketing, Communications and Events and Marketing Director responsible for Executive Education. He has led an award winning marketing team which was recognised by the Australian Marketing Institute for excellence within higher education.
An active member of Australian Direct Marketing Association (ADMA) he has often presented on both the direct marketing and e-marketing courses by ADMA. Alex also sits on the American Chamber of Commerce in Australia – Women in Leadership Committee and has also served as a committee member for the International University Consortium for Executive Education (UNICON) – an organisation of leading business schools from around the world with a commitment to management education and development.
Alex is a graduate of the Master’s in Marketing program (Monash University).
