Haile Owusu is the Chief Data Scientist at Mashable (recently acquired by Ziff Davis), responsible for leading the team who developed Velocity, the publisher's predictive social analytics tool. Developed to help navigate the new publishing space that is increasingly reliant on social media, Velocity has kicked some impressive goals for the company.

Leading up to Owusu's presentation at ADMA's Data Day 2018 this month, we caught up with him to talk about Velocity and the role of data analytics in the new publishing landscape.
