AC&E Awards are Back!
Championing the power of strategically driven creativity
After a brief hiatus, the AC&E Awards are officially back with entries now open for this prestigious awards program.
The Awards will celebrate and reward the brilliant work of individuals, agencies and brands, demonstrating how they leverage the power of strategy and creativity to deliver effectiveness.
ADMA CEO, Andrea Martens, believes the re-design of the Awards program was vital to ensure there was genuine recognition for brilliant work that can only come when strategy and creativity are in partnership: “One can’t exist without the other if you are to create outstanding work,” said Martens.
“Over the past six months we have worked very closely with industry leaders to re-design, not only our Awards program, but to introduce a world-class educational curriculum know as AC&E School that will nurture strategic and creative talent in Australia,” added Martens.
As a result of the re-design, new awards have been introduced and the overall categories reduced from 45 to 30 awards.
“We reviewed the criteria for each category of the AC&E Awards to ensure there was a focus on showcasing the effectiveness of data-centred, strategically-driven creativity. As a result of our audit, some categories were removed, new categories added and others redesigned,” said Martens.
Sudeep Gohil, Partner, Management Consulting, KPMG and member of the Awards Steering Committee believes the AC&E Awards hold a unique place in the awards landscape: “While creative awards have often scurried to recognise effectiveness and effectiveness awards sometimes miss the mark on creativity, AC&E stands tall as awards that have the two spheres core to our business - strategy and creativity hand in hand from the very inception. This includes the categories, the leadership team and the way they are judged.”
Winners will be announced on 24th October at a Gala Awards dinner at the Star in Sydney. The dinner will also be an opportunity for the AC&E School students to showcase their work in front of the industry’s best.
“We wanted our AC&E program to be so much more than an Awards night. We are now part of the learning journey for the industry’s best strategy and creative teams through AC&E School.
Entries are now open. Work must have originated and have been executed in Australia between 1 January 2018 and 31 July 2019. Ongoing campaigns can be entered under the same criteria.
