He was Managing Director of the direct and digital arms of Singleton Ogilvy & Mather Group, where he oversaw consistent growth, and was appointed to OgilvyOne’s Asia Pacific Regional Council and global management team.

    Phil is now Managing Director and Partner of Apparent, an independent start-up agency, where he is continuing his work in strategy-led customer management activities. An accredited speaker, facilitator and trainer, Phil lectures and runs programs on digital and direct marketing, strategic communications, leadership management, sales and customer service.

    Jarther is the Chair of the ADMA B2B marketing expert group, which identifies and promotes best practices in B2B marketing. He is also completing his MBA with the AGSM, University of NSW.

    In 2008, Mike became Telstra's first employee working in social media.  Mike helped launch Australia's first customer service Twitter account (@BigPondTeam), was the architect behind Telstra's social media policy (3R's of Social Media Engagement) and established Telstra's presence in Facebook.

    In 2010, Mike was the strategist behind the creation and implementation of the HTC Desire Social Review.  Mike's first social commerce campaign.  The Social Review was a consumer review, by consumers, for consumers.  Twenty-five Social Reviewers were selected from over 2200 applications.  The #TelstraDeisre hashtag generated 19 million earned impressions over the two week campaign.  The social reviews helped consumers assess whether or not the first widely available Android smartphone was a device they wanted to consider for purchase.

    In 2012, Mike furthered his pursuit of social commerce when he began to directly manage the Telstra YouTube Channel.  By using the distinct phases of the customer path to purchase, Mike designed video content to support the needs of the consumer in the purchase process.  Aligning the content to paid, owned and earned media strategies, the Channel increased views by 266% on a year on year basis.

    In his spare time, Mike is the Chair of the ADMA Search and Social Expert Group and is a ADMA Digital Marketing guest lecture.  Mike also likes to share his impressions of social media marketing at his blog 'Socialising the Corporation'.

    He has a wide range of experience evaluating and improving the end-to-end customer experience with mobile devices, including 2G, 2.5G and 3G devices, portals, applications and content. He has conducted field research into future mobile usage and the interaction between the mobile device and other technologies.

Previous roles that Paul has held at Australia Post are Manager National Corporate Accounts, Business Development Manager – Publishing, Letters Product Development Manager and Corporate Account Executive.

    Paul Joined Australia Post in January 2000 and has over 20 years experience in Sales and Marketing.  Prior to joining Post, Paul has worked for a number of organisations in the Energy and Banking sectors as well as owning and operating his own fashion business.

    Simon is currently the Vice President, Asia Pac for Responsys (MKTG: NASDAQ) the globally recognised leader in email and cross-channel lifecycle marketing technology and services.

    Simon is a pioneer in the Australian online marketing industry as a founder and former Managing Director of Eservices (sold to Responsys in 2009) since 1999.  During his tenure at Eservices, Simon led and grew the business into the largest and most successful Email Services Provider (ESP) in the region working with enterprise clients such including Qantas, Jetstar, NAB, Vodafone, News Digital Media and FlyBuys.

    Simon has more than two decades of experience advising not only Australian, but also US companies on effective email and cross channel marketing and has strong views about the evolution of the digital marketing channel in Australia and how the email, mobile, social, web and display channels fit into the marketing mix.

    Before moving into digital marketing, Simon began his career as an environmental engineer in the United States, and built the US’ first environmental database management platform.

    He is a former Chairman of the ADMA Digital Council and current member of the US DMA Email Council and the exclusive US based Inbox Insiders.
