inside Seven West Media’s digital transformation

It’s been a rollercoaster of innovation and change in the two and half years since Dan Stinton joined Seven West Media as head of digital.

In the 16 months since Seven West took control of its digital audience from Yahoo7, the pace of new product development has been hectic - launching The West Australian website in December 2016, The West Australian mobile app in April 2017, the acquisition and relaunch of PerthNow in November 2017 and most recently the relaunch of The West Australian website and mobile app in April this year.

Combined with innovations in audience engagement through Facebook Messenger, smart speakers and podcasts, their total audience has grown 58% since March 2016 to 1.7m and is driving 3m video streams per month.
