The Consumer Data Right is coming – ready, or not

The national Consumer Data Right (CDR) was announced late last year and both the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) and Treasury have been engaged in multiple consultations since then. Seen by the ACCC as a “fundamental competition and consumer reform “the CDR will be introduced first to the banking sector as “Open Banking”. The CDR is part of a broader reform process aimed to give consumers greater control over their data.
