Thinking of becoming an ADMA member?
Learn moreRepresenting member’s views to key government policy makers and regulators is a vital service performed by ADMA.
Since forming, we’ve been instrumental in protecting how business is conducted in Australia through our active involvement in areas such as privacy, fair trading and telephone marketing legislation.
Through our Regulatory Affairs work we inform members of the legislation currently impacting business, as well as highlighting emerging issues and providing opportunities for input to influence policy. We also provide the tools and insights to simplify compliance and inspire best practice.
The ADMA Code of Practice was developed to set standards of conduct for direct marketers, minimise the risk of breaching legislation, promote a culture of best practice, serve as a benchmark in settling disputes and increase business and consumer confidence in doing business with ADMA members who are bound to the provisions of the Code.
Compliance with marketing legislation is key to the success of campaigns and avoiding costly fines and unwanted attention from regulators.
To assist marketers in understanding the legislative obligations that apply to their craft, ADMA has prepared a series of information pages which can be accessed by members as needed and downloaded as quick reference guides.
ADMA’s series of best practice guidelines have been developed to help members achieve better results through more enlightened use of direct marketing. They go beyond members’ legal requirements and provide information on responsible direct marketing practices and benchmarks for all those in the industry to achieve.
The guidelines are designed to address common issues, advise on best practice and provide guidance to help avoid mistakes.
ADMA conducts one day compliance courses in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, providing an understanding of key legislation to marketers unsure of their legal obligations.
