    Alison’s been working in the advertising industry for over 10 years, with her career spanning Melbourne, Sydney, NZ and now Perth. Currently the Planning Director at The Brand Agency, Alison has worked at iconic Australian agencies such as George Patterson Y&R, Foote Cone and Belding, and Clemmenger Harvie. During this time she has held a range of roles, from Group Account Director through to Head of Digital and Direct. Alison has an integrated background, but specialises in digital and direct marketing. Her past clients include NAB, Motorola, FIFA, Honda, Village Roadshow, Kraft, Greenpeace and The Salvation Army. Her current role sees her working across all of the Brand Agencies clients, including Water Corporation, Synergy, Curtin University, Police and Nurses Credit Society, and Landcorp.

    Alison holds a Masters in Communication, and has considerable teaching experience, having lectured at RMIT and the Australian Institute of Management in subjects such as Advertising Management, Advertising Campaigns, Strategy and Planning, Digital Strategy, Online and Digital Basics. She also has taught the Exploring Digital course for Adschool in Perth.

    Jane has spent most of her career working in mainstream media, including five years as editor of Who and four in New York as editor-at-large of People magazine. At People, her roles included working on branded-content proposals with the magazine’s advertising team, leading the editorial-staff training of new licensee editions of People in India and Greece, as well as editing several sections of the weekly magazine. She taught a session on international licensing at the Yale Publishing Course in 2010 and 2011, presented her optimistic outlook on media, ‘The New Flight to Quality’, at Macquarie University’s 2012 Future of Writing symposium, and has been on several panels at MEAA journalism forums. At the beginning of 2012, Jane returned to Australia as CEO of the philanthropically funded online start-up, The Global Mail. She’s been freelance since 2014, when she edited ‘Powering People’, a four-part multimedia brand partnership between Guardian Australia and General Electric. Together with her friend, colleague and fellow ADMA instructor Natalie Filatoff, Jane writes for GE Reports and ghost-writes books. She is passionate about making all communication more compelling

    Jane Woodley is the Director of JaneWrites Digital, a leading Brisbane digital copywriting and marketing consultancy, which consults to large and small clients in the travel, insurance, retailing, government, financial and business services sectors. Previously she was the Website Specialist in the eCommerce team at Virgin Blue, responsible for the day to day running of and improvements to all the websites of the Virgin Blue Airlines group. Jane has a thorough understanding of online business, encompassing areas of specialty from online consumer behaviour, writing for the web and usability to SEO and accessibility. She is also a 4-year qualified teacher, with 6 years teaching and curriculum writing experience.

    Jeannette is the Director – Legal & Regulatory Affairs at ADMA (the Association for Data-Driven Marketing & Advertising).  Currently admitted as a Solicitor in Queensland she holds a Bachelor of Laws from QUT and was originally admitted as a barrister in 1996. Her professional experience includes criminal law, financial services and privacy and she is a member of various professional bodies including ACLA (Australian Corporate Lawyers Association). 

    Prior to joining ADMA in January 2015 Jeannette was with the Heart Foundation for over five years, most recently as National Manager – Legal, Compliance & Risk.  Before that she worked in the hospitality and financial services sector, focusing on regulatory compliance and risk management.  During her time at Accor Première Vacation Club, she received a national recognition award from the Australian Timeshare and Holiday Ownership Council as a result of her work briefing the sector on the implementation of the Do Not Call Register. 

    Jeannette was one of the inaugural recipients of the designation CCP (Certified Compliance Professional) from the Australasian Compliance Institute (as it then was) in 2006 and currently the chairs the Not-For-Profit Discussion Group for the GRC Institute.

     In her role with AMDA Jeannette deals with all aspects of marketing and advertising compliance and related advocacy issues.  Jeannette has significant commercial, legal and regulatory knowledge as well as practical experience that places her in a unique position to identify with and understand current and changing needs in the marketing and advertising sector’s regulatory environment.

He is a freelancer, having worked for himself for 16 out of the last 19 years, bringing a remarkably wide range of practical experience to the course.     Kevin serves as Chief Scientist of Optimisation Modelling at Fonterra, the world's largest dairy exporter based in New Zealand. He was previously an Associate Professor of Technology and Information Management at the University of California, Santa Cruz. His expertise is in analytics, particularly Service Network Engineering and Management, applying operations research techniques from scheduling, queueing theory and optimization to problems in human resource planning, call centers, autonomic computing networks, flexible manufacturing and service enterprise management.

    Now at Fonterra, Dr Ross develops the analytics capability of a $20 billion dairy export cooperative. He is responsible to ensure that the right tools, processes and people are equipped to maximize the value created from collecting milk on New Zealand farms to finished goods in every part of the world.

    Dr Ross has worked with various industries, and past projects include financial and information services (Thomson Reuters), pharmaceutical manufacturing (Eli Lilly and Company), telecommunications (Bell Laboratories, Lucent Technologies), space technology (NASA), and government authorities (London Councils). His contributions include developing scheduling algorithms for communication networks, balancing cost, quality and speed in service design and improving the management of the national air space. He gained his Ph.D. from Stanford University in Management Science and Engineering, in 2004. Kevin also does consulting for contact centers, transportation networks and customer service design projects.

    Miranda is originally from the UK where she worked as Digital and Multimedia Evangelist for the BBC. After working as a consultant in Digital Strategy and Development, Miranda chose to emigrate to Australia. After a period working for the ABC helping to craft multimedia and digital strategy, Miranda worked for a series of companies in the Digital space. During this period Miranda worked with organisations such as Saatchi and Saatchi, AC Nielson, Johnson and Johnson, the Commonwealth Bank and various Broadcasting Corporations on Digital Marketing and Strategy.

    Miranda currently works as a Strategic Planner for Zuni, she is a digital evangelist, passionate about branding and marketing, and keen to transfer and share her knowledge. Miranda has extensive experience within the media, entertainment, retail and training sectors.

    Natalie Filatoff is a writer and editor with more than 30 years' experience in directing editorial strategies, writing, and shaping copy for a diverse range of audiences. Finding the sweet spot of how to engage an audience is her passion, whether it's the teen readership of magazines such as HERO and Appetite, which she worked on in the 80s, or the decision-makers and science-lovers who click in to corporate news site GEReports.com.au — her current work obsession. She spent a big chunk of her career building the teams and editorial standards of InStyle and Prevention magazines; and revelled in the 360-degree brand scope of launching Prevention — a monthly title with spin-off books, website and public campaigns. Today she works in partnership with editorial powerhouse Jane Nicholls, on projects as diverse as multimedia branded content for the Guardian Australia, ghost-writing books for Penguin and corporate publishing collaborations. She believes social media on a corporate level must add to customer experience, not create white noise. Natalie has a passion for helping other people discover the ease of writing, and is a partner in the recent launch of histography.com, a website that helps everyone write their own story. At the end of any full day, her favourite thing is still to write a wedding story for long-running successful bridal publication Bride To Be. She says, "It reminds me, every day, that people, their experiences, dreams and aspirations are at the heart of what we now call 'content' — successful writing always has people in mind."

    Rob Marston is a thought leader in the mobile marketing world and founder of boutique mobile marketing agency Zeus Unwired. A digital native who first worked in online in the 1990’s launching monster.com in the UK, moved to Australia to work in Search from early 2000’s and started in mobile by launching InMobi across ANZ.  Marston also lectures at the University of Sydney and UTS in mobile and is a regular speaker on the conference circuit both in Australia and across Asia. In the analogue world he enjoys mountain biking, cooking and photography.

And his history of putting languishing creative departments back into the spotlight means he's also rated as one of Australia's best Creative Directors. His B2B experience includes leading Telstra Business, Microsoft and IBM. He's the owner of over 40 local and international direct marketing awards.

    Rob was Chairman of the ADMA Creative Jury in 2002 and in 2005 traveled to Cannes as Australia’s only creative judge on the Direct Lions jury. Plus he is unusual among his peer group in that he's the proud owner of a Marketing Degree. He's adamant there's no point in brilliant creative if the work is not driven by a strategic insight.

    Tim's career, spanning both Marketing and Management, recently celebrated its 21st birthday without letting him know. A strong current throughout this career was Digital and Data. Both became the focus in the noughties, roughly in parallel with the opportunities that Digital and Data together present.

    Excited to recently join PwC in their Digital Innovation team, Tim previously headed Data & Analytics at Ikon Communications, for clients such as Myer, Commonwealth Bank, and the ALP. 

    This could have included the likes of Segmentation modelling but it could also include the impact of the temperature on sales within a given region or behaviourally targeted storytelling. Sometimes, for clients on the cutting edge, it might even include both.

    Prior to this, in research roles at Experian, he was lucky enough to have access to the online behaviours of 30 million people per day. Previous roles include Head of Digital and national Sales & marketing positions.

    Warren is a search and digital business specialist, having worked in the digital space for the past 10 years.  He has formal qualifications from Curtin University of Technology, in Electrical Engineering (Computer Systems Engineering). Warren started his career working with major IT companies such as Microsoft Pty Ltd and CSC Australia in various technical sales roles, before making the move online with ineedhits.com – a Perth based, globally focused Search Engine Marketing firm.  Over the next 7 and half years, he worked in various parts of the business before being promoted to CEO.

    Warren exited ineedhits.com and joined The Brand Agency in March 2012, as Director of Search Marketing.  He is responsible for setting and alignment of client’s search strategies with their overall business and marketing objectives. 

    On the weekends, Warren can be found on the softball diamond, as one of only a handful of internationally accredited umpires in Australia.  Skills which translate well across to managing the expectations of clients.

    Val has 6 years of digital marketing experience and 7 years promotional marketing experience, working within Cinema & Outdoor advertising, Legion Interactive (now Be.Interactive) as Media Manager and Profero, a digital specialist agency as General Manager.

    In addition to her many roles, Val is an experienced Privacy & Spam Officer, previously holding a position on the ADMA Council, (committee to write the e-marketing Code of Practice and The Premium Rate Services Code of Practice). Val has been an ADMA tutor for more than 5 years.
